Anesthetic
Toxic Gas Testing

The anesthetic gas testing is performed primarily in the operating rooms, or anywhere an anesthesia machine is located. The testing is performed DURING general anesthesia procedures. This type of testing ensures that real times readings are documented and accurate. Time Weighted Averages are recorded (TWAs).

Laboratory
Toxic Gas Testing

The laboratory toxic gas testing is performed during slide staining (xylene), cover slipping (xylene) and gross sectioning (formalin). Other activities for monitoring include (but not limited to) tissue dumping (formalin) and tissue processor dumping and filling (xylene and formalin). From these readings TWAs and Short Term Exposures Levels (STELs) are recorded and documented.

Ethylene Oxide
Toxic Gas Testing

The ethylene oxide toxic gas testing is performed during a complete ETO cycle. This type of testing ensures that possible leakage is monitored during all phases of the full ETO cycle,

establishing TWAs and STELs.

Glutaraldehyde
Toxic Gas Testing

The glutaraldehyde toxic gas testing is performed during peak usage and exposure. STELs are established and documented.

Vaporizer Verification Program

Utilizing state of the art analyzers, the vaporizer verification program ensures that the halogenated agent vaporizers are accurate to the flow rate indicated.

Readings are documented and stickers are placed on vaporizers with dates of completion.

Air Vetilation Testing

The air exchange analysis program provides accurate air exchanges for a variety of locations, includes operating rooms and other positive and negative rooms. Rooms are mesured by hand to ensure accurate cubic footage and NOT taken off blue prints
